Hello Ginggs,
I have read all of the threads on this forum where you have posted and have found this all very facinating.
I am from Australia and I was wondering if the MDMA software will work in my country.
My current setup is a self built YAGI on 850mhz frequency, it is connected to "TELSTRA (our main phone company)" and I am connected to HSPA+ so a pretty decent signal.
For modems i use the TELSTRA ELITE (which you may know as the Sierra Wireless 312u) and the Telstra ELITE (which you may know as MF668). Both are pretty decent modems in medium to high signal areas.
I run a PC computer with windows 7 Ultimate and its a gaming rig... need IU say more.
I have mounted my YAGI in a tree and have run a program called "SPLAT" which shows me the estimated broadcast over the land (using a KML file in google earth as an overlay). This is how i managed to work out where my best signal was coming from.
I used a T100 (Telstra phone) and a Samsung A411 (Telstra also) in engineer mode/test mode to give me all of the cell id details and "E" (quality) of singal and RSCP (power of signal) and RSSI (quantity of singal) to work out also my best spot for the yagi. I worked on Quality rather than quantity because I am in a pretty remote area and also recieve reflected signals.
The T100 phone is a recent addition and shows: Country code, Area Code and Cell ID. Its all great for the phone but i wanted something that logs this data when i am connected to the interent and something i can view on my PC and thus is why i am here after much searching.
My YAGI antenna is connected to 15m of LMR400 (very very low loss cable) and connects to a patch cable which goes into the external antenna port on the MF668 modem.
The MF668 modem then goes into the back of the USB port on the TP-LINK (TL-MR3420) which i saw was also mentioned in some of your threads
Now the big burning question I have is can i get the Cell id and other signal information using MDMA with the TL-MR3420 in the way of the MF668?
I have been searching for ages for a way to get through the router and then access the information on the modem.
Or do i have to ditch the router and plug the MF668 directly into the computer for it to work?
There are quite a few of us here in Australia on the "whirpool forums" working on this stuff and much more. Basically helping each other and doing lots of research and just giving it to the people. Some feedback would be much appreciated.
