Meals on Wheels !

don't forget to lace it with much drugs so they get hooked

Well i would not call the company meals on wheels as their is a charity organization that does this already.

Lots of people who don't like to cook would use this service i would imagine, steers and pizza can get boring every night :p

When i lived in pta there was one and some of the food was terrible!!! But they had a menu that rotated every three weeks, but after awhile it feels like hostel food predictable. And so boring.
But i think there is a market. To cook for one or two is terrible, there is always food you throw away.
Me and my boyfriend at that time ate takeaways 6 days of the week, we decided to try a healthier option.
If the food was good i would still be doing it now.

Do you guys think that there would be a market for home-cooked meals to be delivered to people, either at the office or at their houses?

Yeeeeeees! I'd love it ... I eat tons of Steers, KFC and Nandos .... sign me up when they open, blunomore

depends on the cost of it I suppose ....

True. R30.00 is a nice price ;)

but are there not lots of fast food outlets already doing this?

I get sick of take outs often :( Plus they'e not healthy nor home cooked ....

The price will depend on the amount off people you have to cook for. I think.
But the guys in Pta was really cheap, they were called meals on wheels.

I saw a company based in Johannesburg advertising in the papers this weekend for a "healthy " home delivery meal service.
They offered options on numbers of meals delivered per day (up to 3) and the plan seemed fairly expensive for what was offered. eg. Breakfast a smoothie:o
In any case the subscriber can go online and build a food profile and all sorts of things on their website (whose name escapes me)
Now the target market would seem to be execs who love Woolies ready to heat meals.
Interesting was the disclaimer about ordering in advance- the driver is not responsible for getting stuck in traffic and your food getting delivered cold.

I can imagine...... no more washing dishes....ahhhh

Where do i sign up???

yes there is, but I don't see why I should pay R1800 a month for 3 meals a day 5 days a week if I can spend less for the same food and prepare it myself (hahahha, prepare myself, funny)

If you can make it affordable then yes. there's quite a few people who do it already

When i had food delivered to the house we were eating takeaways for R20 a day per person. And the cooked meals were round about the same.
But i have to admit i was even a worse cook then!! The bf didn't want to eat my food.

Just change the name - there is a charity organisation in the cape with the same name - they get meals to the needy.
