Durban - KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Nomusa Dube-Ncube, on Thursday found herself surrounded by 15 police officers pointing high calibre rifles at her and her VIP protection guards after they had been forced to a stop in “a military style” operation on the N3.

She may seek counselling for the trauma she suffered in the ordeal.

She had been returning from Indaka (near Ladysmith) when she was allegedly forced off the road by authorities.

While The Witness was informed that the MEC’s car was stopped by police because it had been driving at excessive speeds on the N3, her spokesperson, Lennox Mabaso, flatly denied the car was travelling too fast.

Booohooo, trauma counselling! Karma's abitch :)
And well done to the cops

I'd like to suggest the MEC uses the same councillors other drivers who've been assaulted and shot at... Or the families of drivers who've been killed are using. After all, they have hands-on experience with similar "trauma".
Might I add that 2014 might be a good year for this particular MEC to finally read a newspaper... You know, to see how regular folk are treated by the very same blue light fscktards she thinks are her God given right on her province's roads.

Shh. Listen. Can you hear that? If you put your ear real close to the screen - you can hear the world's tiniest violin playing the world's saddest song. BECAUSE WE DON'T CARE!!!!!!

I'm just disappointing the cops didn't have probable cause to open fire on her! Really? Trigger happy kill-crazy plods. But when you want the po-po to cap her ass? They stop her!
Tip guys - Less paperwork if you shoot them. Its just a politician. They are mission expendable, like lawyers... and mimes.

Hmm, shame Nomusa "We'll investigate the causes of lightning" Dube-Ncube.
Hey, the cops got it right. Nice.

The cops also got it right a few years ago when they stopped Winnie Mandela for driving the same way.
Unfortunately for them she was connected enough to get them suspended.

That story made my blood boil :(
Whatever happened?

And Winnie?
Surely her and her bodyguards' actions are tantamount to obstruction of justice?
Banana Republic if there are no consequences for breaking the law for Winnie and her gang.

All of those cops will probably be fired for it unfortunately.

:D :D

Yep, I feel feathers for her.

Few years back my brother was stopped by the pi...er, police, surrounded with ARs and pistols and subjected to some screeching and shouting by a bunch of power-drunk halfwits. And all because apparently the time he was travelling on the road was "suspicious". So, GFY ANC fatcat.

I bet they were travelling at a excessive speed.
Good they should have opened fire as they would normally, why did she get special tweetment - lol

I wish the cops shot out her tyre... These individuals think they're completely above the law, and it's fine for them to force innocent bystanders off the roads.

The MEC's car, not marked in any way, with dark film on the windows, was speeding. The cop started blue light and siren, signalled the other car to move over and stop. Car sped off. Cop radio'd to set road block, saying car was trying to outrun him. Hence the rifles. Now cop is facing disciplinary inquiry and is being accused of racism.
