YesYou're draining a 5kwh battery in 2 hours??
This, you should be monitoring what you're using during load shedding.Don't
Hi, What do you think my Inverter settings should be, I have six 330 panels, kw Mecer Sol-I-AX-5P inverter with a Freedom one E5000 Lifepo 4 Lithium Battery. The system works fine except if the battery shuts down during load shedding it doesn't reboot whem the Utility comes back on, I cannot fine out what the correct settings should be.I have always been surprised by what normal households look like on MyBb, on backup, 3 TVs all on at the same time during loadshedding, some animal thing that also needs to be powered, frequent kettle and microwaving, hairdryer, a massive gaming PC, 3 fridges and an aircon plus a couple of fans.
All I long I thought a backup means the bare minimum, a single TV, lights, PC, laptops, routers etc, but it looks like some people have different ideas.
I have noted the post, will respond later.Hi, What do you think my Inverter settings should be, I have six 330 panels, kw Mecer Sol-I-AX-5P inverter with a Freedom one E5000 Lifepo 4 Lithium Battery. It's not supposed to "reboot". The battery is going into protection mode to prevent you from damaging it further, because your electrical loads are drawing too much power. Try to reduce the loads that you place on the inverter and battery during load shedding.Hi, What do you think my Inverter settings should be, I have six 330 panels, kw Mecer Sol-I-AX-5P inverter with a Freedom one E5000 Lifepo 4 Lithium Battery. I don't think he's getting that part. It's not supposed to "reboot". The battery is going into protection mode to prevent you from damaging it further, because your electrical loads are drawing too much power. Try to reduce the loads that you place on the inverter and battery during load shedding.
It is generally related to heating:That a 100ah 52v battery is 5kw/h so for a 5kw system it's fine, though I'd love to know how he's pulling 1.8kw/h or more
Can you post the current settings of your inverter?Hi, What do you think my Inverter settings should be, I have six 330 panels, kw Mecer Sol-I-AX-5P inverter with a Freedom one E5000 Lifepo 4 Lithium Battery. Well in fairness to gramps, it does sound a bit cryptic: "Shed your loads when there is loadshedding". Especially for a layperson whose primary reason for getting the setup was to achieve the exact opposite.I don't think he's getting that part.

There's really nothing out of the ordinary that could be causing the battery to shut down, but then we don't know the battery specs, I asked you about the battery manual earlier, do you have it? Try lifting setting 29 to a slightly higher figure and see what happens. Thanks for getting back to me. The current settings are,1. SBU,/ 2. 50A,/ 3. APL,/ 4. 5d5,/ 5. USE, /6. 29 will just make it cut over to Eskom sooner and he doesn't want 18 on as it will be constantly beeping on solarThere's really nothing out of the ordinary that could be causing the battery to shut down, but then we don't know the battery specs, I asked you about the battery manual earlier, do you have it? Something also looks odd with your bulk voltage(26), it should be higher. Also set the alarm on (18)
Oh, I thought it was the low battery alarm and he could check at what voltage it goes off.29 will just make it cut over to Eskom sooner and he doesn't want 18 on as it will be constantly beeping on solar
Has it always been like that or it used to work okay previously? There is a way of mitigating your problem for when you go away, we'll get to that in a minute, I just want to understand what exactly is happening, because it seems as if the battery goes into idle and doesn't detect the power draw.I have a Battery manual, it says 29, Minimum cut off 49v & 26 Max Charge Voltage 55.5. The Specs are: Total Capacity Kwh = 5, Energy 80% DoD 1=4, Energy 90% DoD 1=4.Current Capacity (Ah)=100. Max/Cont. Charge Current (A)2 = 80/70. Max Cont. Charge Power(kW)2 = 4.2/3.6. Max Cont. Discharge Current(A)2 = 100/90. Max Cont. Discharge Power(kW)2 =5.2/4.7. Max Inverter total Rated Power = 5kVA. Nominal Voltage = 52V to suit 48V inverters, min 47V, Max 56V. Is that any help? I should mention there are 6 lights on the battery ,when all on the battery is fully charged, but if it has been cloudy in the day and the battery isn't fully charged by the time the sun goes down ( maybe only 4 lights on ) after approx. 1 .5 hrs the battery shuts down. all we have had on is 1 TV, Fridge/freezer, fridge and 3/4 L.E.D. lights. But the problem is that when the utility does return the battery does not reboot and I need to do it manually. That's not a problem but if we are on holiday and that happens all the fridges and freezers etc will just thaw out.
This doesn't sound right at all, a 5kWh battery is supposed to cruise through that. Maybe your battery is not getting charged properly? Set Program 26 to 55.5V as your battery indicates, up the current to 60A, and disable power saving mode in prrogram 4.after approx. 1 .5 hrs the battery shuts down. all we have had on is 1 TV, Fridge/freezer, fridge and 3/4 L.E.D. lights.
