Mecer LCD Panel???

I've heard mixed reviews about this monitor. If you're just into gaming its great, its not very good at reproducing tv signal though. Check the prophecy forums, in the console section there should be some reviews of it.
 
Yep...since it aint got a built in tv tuner....which suits me fine

I would want one as a TV for my media center...so I'm a bit worried about the above mentioned TV comment...

My TV card is of good quality.

The Mecer is not bad at all, I have seen it playing a TV signal and it was really good.
Not sure what Digital Planet sell it at ... for some reason I can't get on their site ... but I can sell it to you for R5899.

The nice thing about the Mecer is its price, for its direct competition like JNC ... you would be looking to spend R7999.

One of the best 32" LCD's on the market is the Samsung Bordeaux ... but the prices of those are about R9999 for 32", but I don't sell Samsung (well not through my online shop anyway), and not sure if that is your budget.

If you need any TV advice, let me know ... I work for Cats Digital on the weekends and know a fair bit about them.

I don't think you can beat that for price/specs.

It's got the 720p resolution.
It's got the HDMI.
It's got a good price.
At that price it's a no brainer IMO.
 
I have a 37" Mecer for the past 6 months now and it is pretty decent for the price, I paid R7999. with Tv tuner direct from Mecer in Cape Town. I have the Media player ,Dvd, VCR and DSTV hooked up with perfect picture. Dstv looks very nice on it, depend of the video streaming, but it is getting better. The Idols and Big Brother channels are just awsome, picture perfect.

R7999, saw it somewhere for that price over the weekend, think it was at Solly's in Louis Trichardt.

Back to the Mecer, how much can you get the 37" LCD for? 32" I think is a little to small.

R7999 ... really, wow that is cheap ... you sure that wasn't the 26" Bordeaux? If they not side by side its hard to determine which one is which ... but that price is strangely cheap .... cheaper than Samsung SA's selling price ... maybe it grey, or maybe its really is that cheap :P

My guess is it's gray.... but it's 100% 32"
