Hi there.

I think it's time for a change. i want to get rid of my g15 and get the following keyboards

So far it's between the following

coolermaster quickfire xt

coolermaster quickfire TK

Corsair k65

Corsair k70

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2014

So this is my choices so far and don't know what keyboard to go for so many choices. Going full keyboard the Corsair one have the best looks but I can also save a little bit of money and get the cooler master quickfire tk so I don't know. I don't mind spending money on this if it's really worth it.

The tk is good if you like small keyboards that don't take up your whole desk or you value the workspace around your kb or small desk. It's only drawback is you can't use the numpad and arrows simultaneously as those are shared buttons, you press a button to switch between them. It won't be great for accountants... go for k70 if you want full std layout.

The tk's build quality is great, switches feel amazing and the backlit keys are the best I've seen or used.

I have TK and the back lights are balls amazing. I like the small size as it allows you to have your mouse closer and your shoulders at normal width while gaming if you have a really large mouse mat like me. Only think I don't like is the numpad/keys LED being upside down so the arrow keys are back light and not the numbers on those keys. Other than that it's brilliant for the money.

I have the Corsair K60, which is close to the K70. I'm very happy with it. The keys don't clack unless they're hit with force and they touch the aluminum. I prefer the silver alu look to the TK, but I also find the black/black of the K70 very attractive. However, I've considered doing a swap for a TK just to give it a try for a while. They're both great choices actually, I just prefer Corsair's aesthetic.

I have the QuickFire TK with brown switches. It's rock solid and brilliant for both typing and gaming.

Another Quickfire TK user here with reds, the shorter size is crucial on the desk space that I have. My friend has the full-size Quickfire with blues and it's excellent too, if you would prefer the normal layout. The switching between numpad/cursor keys takes a bit of getting used to on the TK but now I just do it automatically. Though if you work with Excel a lot I'd recommend a normal keypad.

What about the quickfire rapid. I can't get hold of a quickfire TK with brown switches and don't liek the colicky noise of the blue

Have you tried Takealot and/or Prophecy?

I don't think it's mechanical. I would rather go mechanical or nothing at all

Yeah. I previously had a Logitech G15 (I think...one of those very high end Logitechs anyway), and it had every feature imaginable. When I went over to mech, I lost a lot of those features but I wouldn't go back for anything.

I can vouch for the Quickfire Rapid, I own one and it's rock solid. I don't know if they are available though.

how well can you see the keys when playing in the dark? I like the lights.I think i'm going to pull the trigger on the K70. It's expensive but what the heck. I have corsair psu, Case, h100i and now the keyboard. I know I'm a fanboy but they never let me down. everything just work as intended.
