Mede8er firmware fail?

Ths morning I downloaded the new firmware and update/install it on the mede8er. Everything went well up to the end, when I reboot the device the large 8 appear on the screen and then the screen went blank and the the window "not supported" appear. What did I do wrong and how if possible can I fix it?
 
I upgrade mine a few days back and it kept hanging on playback of any media. When I disabled the NAS functionality it works again. Really irritating. The new firmware seems to introduce more problems than it solves :(
 
I think my problem is that I might have formated the hd with the pc and not with the mede8er, but I'm not sure, can't remember.

According to their instructions, they recommend that you format through the mede8er GUI..

you'll probably have to follow the Emergency Update Procedure... Also Mede8er has their own forum, and you'll get better support if you post directly there...

What version did you upgrade to?? I haven't had any issues with my mede8er..
 
Ja, I recon that's the problem, should have formated through m8's gui. Will have to wait till Tuesday, support is offline, but thanx for trying to help.
 
The new firmware 3.?? thats supposed to be released nownow i think i read thats supposed to get rid of all that problem so maybe wait till that's released & the problem might go away.
Up till now i think u supposed to format with the Mede8er with no higher firmware than 1.2.2a BEFORE moving to the version 2 firmware
