mede8er or ac ryan playon?

@McGuyver & Boyah: Have you asked Sanji when they are planning to launch an RTD1085 based model? Players based on the RTD1085 will be far superior to those using the RTD1055 i.e. have web browsing capabilities, YouTube support, Bittorrent client etc. I would expect that they would cost roughly the same as the current RTD1073 models but I could be mistaken. If you can't get any information about the expected launch date you could ask on one of the boards below. Some of those posters work at media player manufacturers etc.

Here are some screenshots from a Chinese RTD1055 based player. The menus and screen layout etc. look very professional. There are also some photos of the board layout and temperature readings etc.

I just realised the 200MEX comes without an hdmi cable,rca cable and a network card.Now assuming you buy these items seperately you will probably fork out an extra R300.This would effectively bring the price very close to the 500m model at Esquire.I stand to be corrected but that model includes eveything.

I think I'm gonna go with the WD TV live. It's got a more powerful chipset.

Yip, bought mine yesterday. Includes all the cables mentioned.

Just watched Alice and and The Road both in HD. Loving the Samsung PS42c4x0 as well!

mercurial have you read the manual? Make sure there are no static images (even black "letterbox" bars from some movies) for more than 2 hours during the break-in period of ±100 hours. After that the chances of burn-in are less.
 
ACRyan and Mede8er are exactly the same - I put them side by side and 1 remotes works on both at the same time.

Only difference is that ACRyan has PVR capabilities as it has a daughterboard extra over the Mede8er

Nope, I neglected to read the manual :o Thanks for the tip :D I can't believe how amazing the quality looks on this Sammy! It's awesome! Even SD content looks good.

Agreed. Cricket, rugby, tennis and golf all in SD are great!

Since you haven't read the manual, you'll also want to keep your brightness, contrast, cell light, etc. down during the break-in period.
