Just a suggestion: I've had problems with power failures causing corruptions, now I have a UPS on all problems are gone.

Won't it work out cheaper if u buy the mede8tor 500x series and buy a separate 2TB Drive ?

That's the route that I took... Based on gut-feel. I didn't do the math. I'm fetching it tomorrow. My meeting overran and they closed at 15:00.

Just saw the first 10mins of Fast Five.mkv which couldn't play on PS3

Its quick & easy to convert to a format the PS3 will play (mp4) using a nice Win utility called mkv2vob. For example converts a 4.5GB rip in under 2 min (mkv is not a codec, so its just converting the container).
