Media box for DSTV Now

Hi all

Looking for a suggestion for media box to run DSTV now. Nothing too top of the range.
Anyone have experience with the MXQ brand?
Specific model numbers?

I do realise I have to sideload the app.
Also, are the mygica older models worth it? The 585 582 models?

I am currently testing an entry level TV box that has Android 7.1.2 to try get it to work. It is the closest I have got thus far. Hope to have feedback in the next few days if I can get it to work. Device is not rooted but seems to have the SU files lying around so DSTV Now picks up the file and refuses to play video.

Thanks. Are there any boxes which dstv now works straight out of the box? Ie without having to unroot etc

What is weird that my phone with Android 7.0 shows it in the play store but the X96 Mini TV Box does not. Wonder if it is not supported on Android 7.1.2. Still need to find a fix. Gonna be a bit of a long process...
