Sorry i dont have a HD one but my SD one works fine. Why does the HD not work?

Not sure - I just don't know of anyone doing it... I use the Dual View currently, but would love the HD decoder if I could use my media center.
 
I would think that only problem would be the capture card inputs in your machine (pc) and the kind of outputs on the decoder. If you have RCAs on both you can get it working fine.

Use MCEGuide.co.za for the DSTV guide and use the standard MCE remote to control the channels. no problems ...
 
Has to be via HDMI, because the decoder doesn't output HD unless it has an HDCP connection.

From what I know, it is that simple though in terms of getting an HDCP descrambler... (never tried it though)
 
Well that is what i asked initially. I did not understand correctly. Although someone said that just getting SD to work would be cool. SO i assume the HD decoder does not have rca's. So the problem is getting a capture card with HDMI input.
 
i just realised i am talking about the HDFury2 and not a Hauppuage card
 
Damnit.. the stock is still all in JHB cos one of the suppliers couldn't deliver the case on time.. *mutter*

and I was hoping to have something to bugger around with this weekend.

SOME of the kit is being shipped already... just waiting for a graphics card and the memory....
 
And now it seems as if the memory and graphics card will be shipped either later tonight or early tomorrow morning...

It went south..


The Courier mixed up waybills so I got someone elses stuff.. *mutter*....
 
Ok.. I finally have all my stuff now so I am going to have a long weekend playing with toys it seems :D
