Hi Guys, a friend of mine recently imported an Nvidia Shield and I really liked how it worked. But i dont think i would use the game streaming that much because what I would Like to do is stream my movies and shows to 2 different tv's in my house.

I currently have a server using freenas but i would like to know what is the easiest and most cost effective way to stream to the 2 tv's. I have been looking at the mede8er? Is this able to do this over the network?

I would really like to use Kodi/XBMC on the media players connected to the tv's?

Hi you need an android box or a mini pc as Mede8er will not work for Kodi, I only use kodi ill send you a PM i have mini pcs that support kodi and a resolution that supports up to 4K that will be perfect to run kodi and any other app you want to. the next issue for streaming is the line speed you need at least 4Mbs but i would recommend faster.
 
your best bet is raspberry pi2 one at each tv.. you can get the kodi/xbmc distro that boots straight into the kodi xbmc interface.. provided your tv's support it, you can control kodi/xbmc via the tv remotes.. you will pay around the 1200rand mark to get both the raspberry pi2's, which is very likely to be cheaper than most mini pc's available at the moment..

Ah i see, i didn't even think of that. Thanks so much! That would be much cheaper than having 2 mini pc's. Do you know if and where I can get them in South Africa or will i need to import them?
