Best Decent Android TV Box

Excluding the more expensive Apple TV and Nvidia Shield options, what other Android Media players are actually the next best?
I use it for more than just streaming and watching my own media, it's more of a second computer, so I like a slightly faster, more responsive device.

I've had a few like the H96 Max that has 4gb RAM that have worked very well (till it had power supply issues) and am looking for a new one but with all the fake specs advertised I'm hoping somebody can recommend one that they personally have that works very well. I've maybe become a bit obsessed with wanting more than the standard 2gb RAM, but the two I have had with 4gb have worked very well.

So many advertised all over but hoping somebody could tell me which one they are currently using that performs very well and where the bought it from so I know the specs advertised are legit!
 
I have the Netogy Nova........ Moved from Mibox... I am happy.... not the most expensive, but it does the job

Sounds like you went through a few already.
So if you bought the Nvidia or Apple tv from the start it would have worked out cheaper. No?

So far the Apple TV is the only one that hasn't irritated me even after 2 years. It's still a joy to use (even more so now as Nvidia Shield devs are jumping ship and making apps for it) and fast as hell.
 
Oh look the Apple Acolyte in an Android thread, again. You do seem to have some form of buyers regret if you've got to keep popping into every Android thread to sing the virtues of the land of Apple.
Aren't you secure enough to just leave things be? You're happy now move on, it's rather tiresome seeing you in every Android thread singing for your supper.

this is very true...... does @Smiggles have notifications setup to trigger if the word TV box, android etc gets mentioned ?

really annoying
