Hi All,

I bought a Mediabox Maverick 4K about 2 years ago(Outside Warranty now). About a month ago, the mediabox did a software update and now i have to restart my wifi everyday in order for the mediabox to connect. I am subscribed with Rain and my wifi is 5G. I had rain for about a year. What must i do to sort this out.

How far away is your Rain Wi-Fi Router situated from your Mediabox Maverick? - it it's nearby, try connecting it directly from the router with a LAN cable to the RJ45 port, instead of using a Wi-Fi connection...

I have a Huawei B525 Telkom LTE Router, directly connected to my Netogy Nova Android streaming box with a LAN cable - I put the router next to the TV set, so all I needed was a 1.5m LAN cable... and have never had any connectivity issues...

Normally with routers:

Bandwidths of the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz FrequenciesThe 2.4 GHz band provides longer-range coverage but transmits data at slower speeds. The 5 GHz band offers less coverage but transmits at faster speeds than the 2.4 GHz band. The 6 GHz band provides the least coverage but transmits data at superfast speeds.

2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz vs 6 GHz WiFi:

Not sure where Rain 5G fits in with frequency options.

Buy an Apple TV, they just work.Always.

Bit crap that you can't run stremio and many other apps on apple tv natively though.

Only thing stopping me from switching to one.
