It's a while now that it feels like I need something. Every day at work get so stressful that I looses it many times. The other day I even sweared at an employee, and that didn't went good. I forget stuff like mad, get cross for nothing, in the evenings I'm just too worn off to even play with my children, falling asleep in the middle of movies. I can go on and on. I'm the manager of a butchery and supposed to be on top of things, and I'm not.

On the other hand, I always thought my previous boss is bad, because he was just like I am now. Now, a year later I fully understand what it is like to be in this position, what it takes from you, the long hours and hard work, many employee problems etc. etc.

2 months ago I started taking Centrum multi vitamin. But I cant feel any difference, not even getting up better in the mornings.

So yes, what can I do? I know a holiday will help, but thats just not possible now.

The following supplements may be helpful:

Tyrosine
Phenylalanine
St John's Wort
5-HTP

Familiarise yourself with their side-effects, contra-indicatons and interactions though. None of these are harmless. For example, St John's Wort may predispose you to cataracts.

I personally can't start my day without Phedra-Cut. Some people start their day with coffee, I start my day with Phedra-Cut.

It increases metabolism, reduces appetite and has a mood enhancing ingredient. I find that I feel more positive when I take these during the week.

Some people can't take it because of heart palpitations and you might become even more impatient, because you will feel more energetic and everyone else slow.

I have a friend who works/runs a OBC store and the stories he tells me makes me wonder how he copes. Long hours, thefts, lazy employees, the guy has lost his joy long time ago.

So in a way, I know more or less what you are going through.

yes i know these products will have side effects, hamal, will i find those on g vitamin shelve? And that phedra cut sounds good, but if i dont workout, will it have the same effect, energy and weight loss, not that i need to loose weight.

Sleep & exercise more. Add a B complex supplement. Reduce caffeine if you can. Its counter intuitive, but more caffeine doesn't increase energy...it just spikes it & then you crash. Also doesn't help w/ stress because it makes you bounce off the walls when you really want to go for calm. Same thing with sugar highs.

yes i know sleep and exercise will help, but i cant see myself get up earlier than 5, cause thats the get up time now. Then i get home 6h20 now. I have kids and want to be and play with them too. So even to go sleep earlier than 9h30 then i wont have much of my kids. I value it very much to be with my family too, thats why i want to give my all to them too.

so for starters, reduse coffee, sugar, more bananas and other fruit. Add vitamin b and other supliments.

I think it is a terrible idea to take Phedra-Cut. This is really not safe.

The supplements I mentioned are available at Dischem. Maybe you should get a medical opinion too.

thats why i wanted more info, googled it a bit, and the most of people writing about it gym too. So maybe just the suplements and fruit will do?

Don't take it after 12h00, or else you'll struggle to sleep at night. If you take 2 at 06h00, by 12h00 it will start to wear out.

You're not a bodybuilder, so 2 pills is enough to start the day. You're on your feet the whole day, so you are active most of the time.

But like I said, it's not for everyone. Some people are too sensitive to stimulants and others aren't.

I once bought Animal Cuts for R700 to try it out, and it was a waste of money for me. I get better results with Phedra-Cut.

Diet also plays a big part on how a person feels and performs. If you eat junk food throughout the week, you'll feel fatigued very quickly.

So try what the other members suggested and drink plenty of water, fruit and vegetables and see if it makes a difference.

It won't be easy, but they say it takes 21 days to form a habit, so it's not impossible.

Monster!!!!!!!! :D Eat a good breakfast and keep eating the whole day. If that fails chug down some monster

You can take all the medication you like and i don't know if this applies to you but you need to look at every situation and find a positive, if something goes wrong there is no point freaking out. You need to sit back and say ok the shyte went down now how do i fix it.

Negativity cannot be cured by drugs.

i think the main thing is i'm tired, and that leads to the rest. And yes, working with 35 staff, who isn't civilised, lazy, etc etc, then theres no way i can wait and look for a positive. When you moan about something over and over again, then i just looses it, and freak out. I eat bread every morning at work 9h00.

What time do you get up? 9 seems very late for breakfast, ideally you should eat something as you wake up unless you go gym. If your sugar levels drop off so will your mood.

Breakfast is very important, if you eat poorly you will be tired and moody. Not good conditions for a tough job.

Try escitalopram (lexamil 10). Its an anti depressant, it helps me to cope. Been using it for over a year. Didn't have any side effects on me or signs of it becoming ineffective. It is only ****ed to try drink alcohol while on this medication, really advise against it. Also while being on this medication I could drink over 3litres of water a day, it makes me very thirsty. I am a very unstable person, while this medication isn't a cure for my problem, and I believe it wouldn't have helped me much when I was in school. It does help to get yourself to reconsider your actions before going off on anyone. Good luck to you OP. Hope my advice have been of help to you or someone else

No no, I get up at 5, cause I start just past 6, every day.

With the hours you work it is no surprise that you suffer from exhaustion.

Can you delegate some of the work?

If you push your body too hard over the long term, you will eventually burn out.

Eish, you get up at 5 and only eat at 9, what do you have between 5 and 9? Try having a good breakfast followed up by decent meals through out the day before you try some magical drug that will just mask your problem which to me looks like a diet issue.

Yes I know I must delegate more of my work, but yes, thats the thing. I tried it over the past year, but just ends up in disaster. You know I work with people who only work for 3 things, and who only have those 3 things in mind: Lunch time, knock off time, and pay day. You wont believe me if I tell you all the horror stories. So even if I delegate more, I must still be double checking all of the time.

But yes, I must say my big issue I think is diet. But I'll start tomorrow with the fruit anyway, eating fruit is really not my favorite...
