Medication or supplement to help one cope?

Try McNabs Energy Tabs - it's a little packet containing 5 various sized pills - you take all of them, with breakfast (helps you absorb the vitamins, and is the most important meal of the day).
These tabs do not contain caffeine, nor ephedrine or anything weird, but there is some ginseng involved. They really do help you cope, and give you energy and stamina - not at the same unnatural levels as ephedrine would of course. Take these for a week or so, then change down to Nutri-B or an equivalent such as the Clicks Stress-B complex.

Sorry; but crap. Leave the supplements for the vitamin junkies ... (unless you really like glow in the dark toilets ;-) ) Actually, scrap that: I always prefer people taking drugs when they are healthy but:

From a purely mechanical perspective: you are running out of energy and your body reacts negatively when you are too low.

Your best bet is first to go see a nutritionist. They will more than likely recommend a low GI diet. Basically this comes down to a few things: as soon as you can in the morning: eat something. Literally as soon as possible. Then through out the day eat healthy small meals, etc, etc.

The idea with low GI is that you don't get all the energy from the food at once, like you would with some sugary snack or the like; your use it gradually over time.

So now your body has more residual energy and is more used to the gradual release of this energy. You HAVE to manage the efficiency now, and that is done by exercise and fitness, etc.

... but trust me about the sunscreen ;-)
