now all that's left to do is to replace Malenema with AI then at least the EFF actually has some intelligence :ROFL:
 
Actually its great. Its about time.

An Ai can analyze a patient with Cancer in the matter of minutes where it can take a doctor panel 4-6 weeks, the Ai can also see what is the best possible cure looking over tens of millions of previous patient records etc. That way you may not even need surgery etc.

So something like the Medical pod from the movie Prometheus, or the building of Leilo from DNA in Fifth Element, or even the Doctor in Star Trek Voyager was it? Although that may be some time off.

What I do think we need is ai in libraries for helping kids. I always like this concept. Or well museums, it will be absolutely amazing for the kids



And the book was written by HG Wells in 1895. That and 2001 a Space Odyssey (1951) by Arthur C Clarke who suggested we would be using Satellites in space for communication etc, before they were even invented. He wrote about it in a 1945 letter to the publication wireless world.

This was 11 years ago. 11. I worked on this for IBM at that time. They are well beyond this now.

 
You are aware 80% of banks run on Ai? Most software development can be done with Ai including how to use a software package to do something.

Most likely you had a crap system, or a crap development team that tried to help you with Ai. I see it all day long, its frustrating beyond belief.

Yes even grandpas adding totals in excel with a calculator. Seriously. And I mean an actual calculator.

If Mrs W is having an "MI" then having a crash cart and a defib standing nearby are very good ideas, in case she arrests, as ventricular fibrillation may occur during an 'MI' and it can be stopped immediately with a rapid administration of a shock. Of course one would manage the "MI" itself, but asking for a defib among the many other orders one would ask for can't be faulted.

Yes. Even an more advanced Apple Watch can. In matter of fact we are using Apple watches in a community with grannies and grandpas, it links up to the doctors for vitals etc, and incase they have a stumble or fall it sends an SOS to the neighbours and the doctor.

Thing with Ai is that it can do it much faster.

We did the same with cars. By the time your car gets into a dealership, the car wouldve been able to tell the workshop everything thats wrong with your car, and wouldve been able to order the parts in advance.

It's the paper pushers and bean counters responsible for billing, procurement, HR, maintenance, etc. Not the clinical staff. The clinical part will come later.

We're already training some AI using radiology input. The poor sods don't know they're contributing to a machine taking over their jobs one day.
 
With Ai and IOT it becomes a game changer in vehicles too..

dont know how I feel about this, is it finally here the AI end times,
or just a greedy private hospital group doing what makes its shareholders happy,

by removing meatbag humans and making it all cold digital robots that make no mistakes and demand nothing in return.
 
Embrace the future people. Just think how great it would be popping into your local clinic for spare parts and not having to deal with pesky humans.

Jokes aside, stuff they are automating makes perfect sense. Humans aren’t all that efficient at those mundane tasks.

"Optimised" ie staff worked to the bone and service levels reduced until they reach barely passable.
