Meeting with Telkom CEO

Hi folks

I have just returned from an informal meeting with Telkom’s CEO, Papi Molotsane, on his request. As I have said previously he is a genuinely nice guy and is dedicated to customer service and building good broadband services. I did however make is clear that we are looking for tangible results like the lowering of prices, improved service offerings and better support services, something which has not happened yet.

Telkom is currently in their closed period and hence not much information was shared, but I think we can expect some moves after their results are released.

Hmm sounds like a bit of PR to help share price. They will prob announce that they have engaged in "successfull talks with MyADSL" to understand the needs of their clients better, or something in that line...

Sorry, don't trust em.

More talk... and absolutely no changes.

At least they are now talking straight to our faces??

Hi folks

I obviously agree that there is far too much talking and too little (No?) action. I do however feel that it remains good for guys like Papi to hear what we have to say and take note of what his customers experience. Rest assured that MyADSL will only look at action: after numerous meetings, colloquiums and hearings I am rather unimpressed with promises and/or discussions.

yeah and for way too long...they've turned most of us in the forum to be very pessimistic about their 'good intentions'.
 
Nothing less than 100mbit uncapped unshapped full international internet connections for under 800 rands a month will sway me :p
 
I wonder what the angle is this time?? trying to increase share price by announcing that they are in talks with a large group of its users?? trying to get the gov of their backs?? i wonder ....

rpm, I have utter faith in MyADSL that they will never accept anything less than action but I wouldn't hold my breath it I were you ^_^

I am certyainly not holding my breath...if I did I would have been dead many times over already :-)
 
Hopefully you held your breath while at teklom! Otherwise, you might be infected with teklomism now... :eek:
 
So - how many times was the word imminent used?

Haha, spot on MFour. Like the time when the Chair of Telkom told me that Telkom had "engaged extensively with the users of MyADSL". My response was first to laugh, and then to say that the users of MyADSL were going to laugh a lot when I tell them what she had said.
