Does anyone know how to setup the Mega 100wr router in bridging mode? I've selected bridge mode under advanced settings/quickstart and then type. Saved all the settings and restarted the router. I then used raspppoe and tried to connect, but had no luck... I guess im doing something wrong somewhere or I still need to input settings that im not aware of. Can someone please help

Bridge mode can be done. Maybe you are referring to Half-Bridge (and I am not saying that can't be done as I have never tried)

* 10.0.0.2
* Enter router login and password
* Advanced --> WAN --> Quickstart
* Type --> Bridge
* Apply
* Save settings
* Reboot router

EDIT: I assume of course that you only have the one account on your router which is under quickstart.

Yes, ive did that step already. I want to make use of two ISP's, both international, so in other words, one ISP for one of the pc's and the other ISP for the other pc. My setup is currently as follows, ive got a access point connected wirelessly 2 the telkom mega100wr router. the access point is set as a client and it is connected 2 a switch which goes to the different pc's via network cable. So as far as i understand i have to enable bridge mode, and then through windows dialup log on to the different ISP's.
So I dont know if the access point which is connected wirelessly to the router is interfering with my plan?

cool
thanks man

stupid telkom told me it could not be done :rolleyes:

oOthexOo - I've previously had the 100WR in bridge mode and initiated a PPPoE connection from the computer. So I don't know where things are going wonky for you.

Still struggling

I was still unable to get this to work. Another thing is that in the mean time I added a wireless access point into my network. This acts as n bridge between my computer and the 100wr router. Would this pose to be a problem seeing that I am still unable to setup this RASPPPOE double connection. My computer has a static IP at 10.0.0.79, the access point is also static at something like 10.0.0.50 and the router is still on default 10.0.0.2. Any help would be appreciated.

Can I supply any other info maybe?

Well I'm a total n00b with networking but when I couldn't setup 2 simultaneous connections RASPPPOE, the RASPPPOE protocol thing needed to have 2 or more WAN endpoints enabled.

Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Under LAN or High-Speed Internet, right click your network controller and click Properties -> highlight PPP over Ethernet Protocol -> click Properties -> set the Number of lines (WAN endpoints) to 2.

EDIT You MUST restart your PC for changes to take effect.

you do know you can setup two or more ISPs on the Mega100WR2 and setup static routes on the router?

There is also a thread somewhere on how to setup half bridge on the Mega100WR2 if you want to use RouteSentry.

I'm helping oOthexOo with this this problem but am stuck, thats why he posted the above posts. I saw there was some way of setting up two accounts on the router, but I'm unsure how to do the routing. I found this thread regarding the above mentioned routing on the router: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=84795

Would you be able to explain it in more detail how to setup the routing? I am able to setup the two accounts.

Thanks milomak! But how would p2p work on this type of setup specifically in regards to local torrents? Would I need to add the different peers into the routing list? If so, then this would not seem to suit the need...

I imagine most peers would be on the 196.xxx.xxx.xxx IP range (I assume IS gives all their clients IPs in that range). So you could route all traffic in that IP range via local I suppose. Don't use local torrents so not an issue for me.
