Mega 200VWR Help

I'm also having the same problem with my 200vwr. Randomly disconnects about 10 times during a day.

On my previous router the, 105wr I also experienced disconnects but only 2 or 3 times a week.

How can I check if the problem is the router or the line itself?

Hey, it ended up being my NIC driver. I use Win7, and tried going to the device manager and going into network card properties and there is an option to revert back to an older driver. I did that and it worked fine. I'm still using the modem, but my motherboard blew and I got a replacement, works fine still.

It would help if you had a spare router, to test.

Thanks for the advise, unfortunately I use the 200vwr as a stand alone unit and connect to it via the WiFi.

Never had such a setup. So you are saying that you dont use any of the ethernet ports on the router? How are you able to access the router settings, via wifi? I always had one desktop pc connect via cat5 to router on which i access 10.0.0.2 to change settings vir router control panel.

You only need to connect with ethernet for initial setup, after you've setup the wifi access point you can connect to it via wifi. You can still access default gateway with wifi. Router is only connected to power and tel. line

Anyway I suspect the problem is not my router but the line, it disconnects intermittendly. Gonna ring telkom now.

Makes sense. Had a similar problem with my line previously. Believe the problem was with the exchange. Good luck mate.
