A private investigator has joined the hunt for missing Megan Cremer, as day three of the search for the 30-year-old continues in Cape Town.

Investigator Noel Pratten said the Cremer family was taking "terrible strain".

Meghan left her home on Vaderlansche Rietvlei farm in Ottery, where she keeps horses, by car around 6pm on Saturday, according to CCTV footage. She has not been seen since.

My heart goes out to that family. Not long ago a friend of my kids disappeared, found him a week later. Outcome was not good. Terrible terrible situation.
 
After 5 days, they found him in a park with a slit throat. Took his cellphone, only. Right next to a path that gets used daily. People just walked by, until one person reported it.

My deepest condolences. People have turned into monsters.
A former classmate of my sister was robbed, raped, her gut slit open and left for dead. She was about to start her first year at university. She survived but I'm told she has never been the same since:crying:
 
Someone spotted her car yesterday but it wasn't her driving it so they didn't want to engage. Also, how does a car of a missing person get through a roadblock? She had already been missing for more than 24 hours at that time.

Three suspects found with missing Cape Town horse rider’s car

Western Cape police have arrested three suspects who were found with a stolen vehicle registered to 30-year-old missing horse rider Meghan Cremer.
"Three suspects - aged 27, 34 and 35 - were arrested after they were found in possession of stolen property [a vehicle] registered in the name of the missing person.
"Detectives are following up all possible leads in order to establish if there is a link between the suspects and the missing person," police spokesperson FC van Wyk told News24 on Tuesday.
Cremer was last seen leaving a farm in Philippi at around 18:24 on Saturday.


She did not return home nor did she pitch up for work, News24 earlier reported.
The 30-year-old from Knysna was wearing a green top and a pair of black tracksuit pants and driving a white Toyota Auris with the registration number CX29727 at the time of her disappearance, News24 reported.

The body of Meghan Cremer, who went missing over the weekend, has been found at a sand mine on a farm in Philippi, Cape Town.

News24 reported that the 30-year-old horse rider was last seen leaving her place on a farm in Philippi at around 18:24 on Saturday, Western Cape police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Andrè Traut said.

She had not returned to the Vaderlandsche Rietvlei stables and did not pitch up for work.

On the evening of August 3, police arrested three men, aged 27, 34 and 35, for the illegal possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

Traut confirmed, in a statement, that ''investigation brought to light that the car indeed belonged to the 30-year-old female reported as missing to local police.
