melon will do the contract cancelation for you, I've searched the site and can't see anywhere there is a commitment to change to them after.

I've had them assist with cancellation if my Telkom Mobile contract, and they got Telkom on the line in a conference call, and sorted it out during that call.

You can only cancel if you are eligible to do so, for example, not if you're 4 months into a 24 month contract.

I could have made that call myself, it's not particularly admin intensive, but I preferred to get it done all at once. So you'd not really save on a lot of admin.

Apologies for responding only now. It does not work on my phone, presumably because I am running custom firmware (xiaomi.eu). I am not able to test it.

That being said, I was dialled into a conference call yesterday while I was driving in Green Point, and I drove all the way along the N1 towards Durbanville. The call was finished by the time I reached Karl Bremer Hospital , it had not dropped once or lost connection.

It's something I could not achieve on Vodacom or Telkom. This was a normal GSM call, not WhatsApp obviously
