I bought a 32 gig memory stick from a street seller the other day for R 150. It was sealed and all, but it wont work. I copies a few series episodes onto it, but when I try to play it, it just say that the files are corrupt. I did a full format, not helped, and a windows tells me it cant quick format it. I set all the format settings to default, and file system to fat32. Is it a setting fault, or just a bad stick?

Fake memory stick, you've been conned.

As has been said: those are fake & you gave him money for free.

They are often also a lot smaller than what the packaging says...

Yes, the FAT on the stick may say 32gb but I doubt its more than 2gb at the most. Several Chinese vendors have products like this. In the tiniest possible typeface, the capacity is mentioned as 2gb

Ha!
Faux USB Memory, heck for all you know the real capacity of the stick may only be just enough to store the FAT table of a 32GB device and nothing more.

Which would be FAR less than 32GB ....

Hey dude,

I live in China and have encounter cr@ploads of fakes...usually a 32gig will show as 30gig...or 30.7 or something...

Anyways, download this RMPrepUSB, it can detect the proper size and then can then format it ot that size and use it as a 2gig drive or something...
