Mercedes Benz W203 Wheel Alignment

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased a 2004 Mercedes Benz W203 C180k with 100,000km on the clock. The dealership fitted brand new tyres to the vehicle. I notice that the steering wheel wobbles/vibrates on the highway between 100kph - 120kph. There is also a high pitch sound at this speed and when I bring the vehicle to a stop there is a very low type of moan/hum that goes lower the slower the car goes. All coming from the front passenges side wheel.

Is this balancing and alignment or can it be a wheelbearing on its way out?

Also can I get the balancing and alignment done at SupaQuick as I see they have a Balancing and Alignment option for high end cars as well as a camber adjustment service.

Or will I need to take it to Mercedez Benz to get the balancing and alignment done. I have all the necessary tools and know-how to replace the wheelbearimg myself.

Sounds like the wheel is not balanced... Maybe one of the weights fell off

Take it back to where ever the tyres were fitted and have them sort it out.

The vibration and steering wheel wobble sounds like wheel balancing.

Wheel alignment would be needed if the car is pulling to either side, is difficult to keep in a straight line/twitchy in the corners or uneven where on the tyres.

Moan / hum under braking means it's time for new disks and pads.

you also get some sjim [like a spacer] thing that fits between the wheel and shaft, they normally last for life, but it was a problem on my car once.

You don't need to go to Merc for the balancing and alignment. Camber is adjusted with the balancing and alignment.

Ok, so my wheelbearing on the front passenger side is starting to wear out and the rim is buckled. The bearing I can replace myself but any idea and cost to straighten out the rim?
