I have a 99 c240 with 240k on the clock. There are two types of services, A and B. A is a relatively small service and averages me about R1000. B is a big service, average R4000. Each interval is 15000km, and alternates between A and B services. I have mine serviced by German specialist in Garsfontein. Car was heavy on fuel until I changed the airflow sensor (R6k at Mercedes), now averages 9-10km/L in the city and 12km/L open road. Had a major computer issue 1 year ago, cost R10k to import second hand one and have it reprogrammed (Mercedes quoted R60k).
