Merging Offline + Live profiles/game saves

Anyone got a method to do this?
Had 1 offline profile + game saves on memory unit.
Reactivated/recovered 1 x live profile of the exact same name to HDD.

However when attempting to copy from MU to HDD it won't put the saves etc into the live profile, it creates a new offline one on the HDD.

Anyone know of a workaround?

I'm afraid not, they're technically 2 different profiles. to get your offline profile online you have to make it "join Xbox Live" but that will now fail because you have the other account of the same name. You'd need to rename your online profile, then join with the offline profile.

On a iron level the accounts have different SSID's which make them unique, if they allowed merging it could easily lead to cheating.
