MickeyD has passed away

I read Okkies mybb meet post regarding honouring MickeyD and wondered what MickeyD had gotten up to. Did a quick search only to find out that MickeyD had passed away.
I didn’t interact much with MickeyD but I’m surprisingly saddened by the news, it’s as if someone that I personally knew had died. MickeyD always came across as decent guy with a good sense of humour and in general tried to be the neutral calming voice amongst the chaos that is sometimes mybb. He will be missed.
Condolences to his family and friends.

Need to have a drink when I get home for the fallen.

Didn't MickeyD own a pub in PE?

Would like to have a drink there in his honour when I pass though again.
Not sure when that will be, but will add it to the bucket list...

He took over his dad's when he passed away, as far as I understand the situation. I went there for a drink once, unfortunately Lawrence was not there, and his (brother in law, I think), didn't really seem to grasp how I knew the man via the internet. It was a bit awkward. :D

He sold the pub he inherited from his dad as he was still working at that time and doing both was a bit much.
In the time I knew McD here on mybb he said good bye to his dad and his brother.
 
I only saw this now! Holy crap man :( He was such a nice bloke when we met at the PE meetup :( RIP Lawrence
 
Wow, I only see this now. He was one of the first people to help me out with an Telkom/ADSL issue. Still told me where to drive to and who to speak to at the Telkom centre... Never met him personally but from what I experienced here on MyBB he was an awesome bloke.

He will be missed here on the forum!
 
Dang. Just saw this now. A great mod and a real gentleman. What an absolute legend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

RIP MickeyD
