Microphone Boom Arms

I create impromptu short videos for customers, explaining product features or demonstrating specific tasks in software, often in just 30 seconds. Currently, I haven't been organising or preserving these clips.

I plan to change that, so I've ordered a pre-amp/interface. I have all but decided on the Rode PodMic. Since the Rode mic arm for this device is quite expensive, I'm seeking recommendations for more affordable microphone boom arms.

Note that I am new to all things audio. Also, note that the microphone in question weighs nearly 1 Kg.

Any suggestions or things to be aware of?
