I have three computers at home and wouldn't upgrading all of them to Vista - however at full retail for EACH it becomes insane.

They should offer a second copy for 50% additional and a 3rd for 30% on top of that. Imagine R2925.00 for 3 x original versions.

Even I'd consider that ...

This way Linux comes in the way...
anyways I use 1 copy for 2 computers

Aggg dude firstly i am not sure why people would want to pay 3k for microsoft vista, get the cheaper version for like 1.8k.

Buy one and just phone microsoft twice and activate the other ones with ease :), pay for 1 install on 3 :p

mmmm,

Fake versions don't need registeration:p

Maybe not but not all fake versions are laptop images and you have to mess around with activation cracks. If you phone microsoft its legit but if you have a laptop image of vista then your sorted no crack no validation :)

You can install a licensed retail version on two computers - legally! So you only need to buy two copies. Vista Home premium is R1500 a pop, so it would cost you round R3000 for the 3 pc's.

100% sure of that?!

If that's true, I would go get a single version - as the 3rd PC doesn't worry me that much (just nice to hav 3 x identical machines) ;) Basically it's the two I'm worried about.
