Microsoft and open source

Oh you got me all wrong, I am not antsy about free stuff.
I just dont persecute a company who writes good software and makes you pay for it. As far as Security Essentials goes, well I was running AVG, till they buggered it up and made it like Nortons. I have been looking forward to MSSE cause of its good performace and low system impact. If you do some research you will see this is the concensus of MSSE. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Every big business has made questionable moral choices. Infact anyone with money has made questionable moral choices. If you took 2 minutes and stopped telling everyone to "grow a brain" (I think you said it like 4 times) you will know this. You seem very naive as to how the world works, it isnt all hugs and kisses. You argue morality then align yourself with companies that use well researched psychological marketing techniques that force people to hand over their money, whose sole business model is "how can we take more money away from somone". Now thats the moral high ground. You see, I understand that in order for a comapny to exist in a capitalistic environment, these things have to transpire. And until I am personally affected by one of these issues, I am not going to loose sleep over it.

At the end of the day I can safely dismiss you as a MS nay sayer. A sheep. Someone who cant rationally way up the pro's and cons of a problem.

I use Google instead of Bing, cause it is faster, I got an iPhone, I prefer the features of WM, but dont like the speed, I dev on MS tools cause they are the best in the industry. I have assessed a LOT of others and found them lacking. I got an XBOX and a WII, I wont get a PS 3 cause it doesnt integrate nicely with the rest of my media setup. I HATED iTunes, cause it didnt work, but now use it a LOT since the latest release. I think Macs are crazy over priced, but I still want one cause I cant dev iPhone apps without one. You see unlike yourself I can assess something for what it is, not because of some branding. If it fill a need, I use it.

If you look over my posts, I always attack blind ignorance and stereotypes (of which you are one).

My sig says MS FTW, cause this forum is prodominantly anti MS and their hatred for the company shines through nicely when they read it. Seems to still do the trick. If you ever go through life wandering why no one will take you seriously, try assessing your dogma. It makes you look like a bit of an immature prat and ultimately hypocritical. And if you REALLY want to fight for a cause, donate some money to the SPCA, they need your help more than OSS does.

That's certainly not the way you behaved earlier in this thread.

I concede: the only good thing to come out of Redmond was Excel, but they have rested on their laurels and it is no longer the brilliant piece of work it used to be.
Nothing else they do is good. But typically American - they have a great marketing engine. If you choose to delude yourself that their products are good - go ahead, but I am not anti-MS because of their products. Their products just make them that much more easier to target.

I have not aligned myself with any company. Simply referring to a company does not mean I'm aligned to it. Don't put words in my mouth just because you think it fits.

That's where you are wrong. 20 years of experience counts for something these days: including the ability of weighing up the pro's and con's of multiple OSes because I have actually used them. Being an MS nay-sayer from experience does not translate to sheep mentality just because you said so.

That's rich. coming from an idiot that takes quotes out of context, missing the point, making false inferences, then accuses me of same.

Shame, you poor brainless moron. Thinking that all of this is a "fight for a cause" ... Because you cannot see, it's pointless trying to explain.

Goodnight sweet child. When you grow up you might be respected.
