Microsoft cordless mouse compatibility: Problems with 2560x1440 resolution?

I have the same problem with my 5000. What i did to fix it was buy a USB extension cable and plugged the dongle into that. It worked for me. Also if you lift the mouse 30cm+ off the desktop it corrects it for awhile as well. Its pure interference.
