Microsoft Exchange groupware alternatives

..if MS Outlook connector is the differentiator, then..

...take a look at a similar summary I posted a few years ago. The details have changed but th eoverall conclusion is the same.
http://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...roupware-for-small-office-environment-455353/

..If you need to use MS Outlook with an Exchange replacement, then the ONLY option which would offer a free (as in beer) connector is Scalix. All the other options will charge for every single instance of the Outlook Connector.

Scalix will now offer up to a 10 user connector within it's community version. Otherwise - I'd be running Zimbra.

There are a lot of good alternatives that were not included. For example Kerio has a solution that is cross platform and has full outlook support.

Another vote for Kerio. You wont find a easier to manage groupware server out there.

open source is free the support is not

I didn't here the number 1 Exchange alternative "Zarafa".
Please take a look www.zarafa.com. It also does Blackberry synchronization with BES. For backup it can do bricklevel, so restoring 1 single email.

BTW. "cellular phone company has a yellow logo"?
Hard to guess for someone in Europe ;-)

Compared to other Exchange alternatives, Zarafa is number 1 for me.
It's easy to install, configure and It has the same look & feel as Exchange.
Users can also keep using MS LookOut.

This means it's easier for clients to use Zarafa, because they don't see a different GUI for webmail and use their standard LookOut.

This is my personal experience with the produkt.
