Microsoft’s “do not track” a victory for privacy

A movement by privacy activists to curb tracking of Internet users’ browsing habits scored a major victory last month

Actually not. Microsoft is not adhering to the W3C standard. (I know this must come as a surprise to longtime Microsoft IE watchers.) As a result people feel free or even obliged to ignore its do not track setting.
