I am running my legal copy. So as I said I am just concerned about the "Back door" principal!

Think it was more of a case of person having their updates on automatic updates. I have mine switched on the option to download all the updates and to let me select when to install them; so I don't have my PC automatically restarting for what ever reason.

You kinky devil you...and with that thread derailed.

Back on topic: If you've got the the genuine, you have nothing to worry about and even so, Microsoft won't shut down the system immediately.

Ja, I heard about this... but I haven't seen that update in my list yet. Just set your updates to notify you... then you can choose whether to download and install.

That's how I thought it would/should be. I hope nothing changed in the interim! I will first upgrade to RTM, that would give me 120 days not?

Now how to Upgrade and Dual boot with 98 is the next challenge!
