Microsoft launches "Fix It Center" software

Microsoft's way to get information about what pc hardware people have in their homes.

More free info being sent to Redmond. tsk tsk

hey if it stops neighbors and relatives from "call that guy who's good with computers" to fix their **** up, i'm all for it! :D

Sigh another tool someone us who support family and neighbours will have to learn and then explain what drivers are at the end of it all!

My computer cannot connect to the Internet.

Please wait while "Fix-it" connects to download new patches.... error, no connection, please try again later.

It doesn't like MS's Proxy server software either. Anyway, I did get it downloaded and it looks like it kinda might be helpful if you're the guy that ends up supporting your friends and families PCs. There is plenty of communication with MS going on in this thing, so if you've got something to hide from them, don't bother.
