With all these debt threads I'm wondering what people use to manage their finances.
Or if anyone actually does know what their net worth is.

Been using MS Money since around 1999. Paper and pencil before that.

Anyone else use a financial software package, paper and pencil, excel, or Quicken?

Used to use money a while back. Got a new machine and could not find my CD. Been using a mixture of paper/excel. Need to get a new copy of Money but Incredible Corruption is quite expensive and I've not had a chance to shop around. What version of money you using now?

I like Money - using 2005 - with Std bank I can download my statement details and inser into Money and allocate the items, which it remembers after a while.

I've been using a trial version of money 2007 and am thinking of buying it. I found it a lot simpler than quicken. If your in the US of A you could get link into your online bank account, but sadly they don't support SA banks, but otherwise its still a good product.

Then again I don't want MS to know what my bank balance is, it scares me when I look at it. :(

U can download your bank statements from ABSA or other banks and then import them.

Money 2005 which is the latest version u can get here, isn't compatible with 2006 and later.
Wantitall is about the only place u can get it from.

I used Money for a while, thought it was a bit too tedious to get everything in order... I was under 20 and didn't realise that one must sit and nitpick your finances at least weekly...

In addition to running a couple of websites, I also do bookkeeping for small businesses and tax planning.returns for individuals. I would like to try this software, as I am a fan of quality open source.

I see the download is a list of zipped files. Am I looking in the right place? Please assist...

I'm using Money 2007, use it for everything - including home inventory. Very usefull. Been using it since 2001, its interesting to see how my income has changed from then till now, I earn more in a month now than what I did in a year in 2001 :(

Lol... I will certainly try it out again, a few years have passed and I've learnt more about money.

I found my first payslip the other day, couldn't believe how little I earned just after finishing school...

Incredible connection still sell it, I think.
Saw it there last year.

It may be part of the Microsoft works bundle as well.

Or you can try torrents / newsgroups. (Not Legal)

Excel because I can customise it to my taste. Also can do weird and wonderful things with that program. ....I think it depends on user experience though.
