Microsoft, Nokia demand antitrust regulation against Google's Android

Thats rich...
In a complaint made public on Tuesday by their lobbying group FairSearch, Google’s rivals accused the company of using Android to divert traffic to its search engine.

Microsoft has been doing that since forever.... perhaps they are claiming patent infringement ?

“Failure to act will only embolden Google to repeat its desktop abuses of dominance as consumers increasingly turn to a mobile platform dominated by Google’s Android operating system.”

Really?
I thought Microsoft was guilty of dominance and desktop abuses more so than Google.

If we consider all computing platforms to include desktop computers, servers, tablets and smartphones; I wonder who has the biggest market share. There are certainly more Microsoft desktop computers than mobile phones on the Internet - http://gs.statcounter.com/#mobile_vs_desktop-ww-monthly-201203-201303.

Such a pity Nokia ended up with MS ... one of the most unfortunate mistakes made in tech history. Now they are permanently linked to this Ballmerious creature from the past that struggles to find a way into the new world ... a world MS is unable to read correctly ... just like the two RIM CEO's ... people that are getting out of touch with a world moving to fast for them. The Ballmers and Elops of this world are dinosaurs. Now they play the only game they know ... break the other guy's toys.

Well, as pointed out, MTP (a microsoft protocol) sucks, but theyre complaining? Please....**** microsoft.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha, only Microsoft:

Mmmmm. I'm pretty sure Google was pretty well known before Android ever existed. I wonder how many people would even know about Bing if it wasn't for IE diverting you there every time you enter a URL wrong, and how many people would use IE in the first place if it didn't come with Windows.

And to make things even worse rumours were started by AllThingsDigital that Windows Blue is not 8.1 but one Windows for all devices from phones to PC's ... scaled for different screen sizes. Hell no. "The ONE to replace all others" doesn't work for me. Small tiles on the phone become big tiles on my monitor or laptop screen ... or just many more small tiles on a larger display. I don't like where this is going. I hope Apple and Google see things differently ... acknowledging that content creators want to work differently from consumers.

In a perfect world Google will have 35% of the market, WP 30%, IOS 15% BB10% and other OSes will take up the remainder of market

People choose google, and for me i know it is not a saint but the devil i can tolerate. Now imagine if ms had the same market power, we'd be in deep s**t

If MS that a bigger market share, there would be certificate courses, that you would have to write every year, to be a MS Certified Phone Developer, ...
