I sincerely hope that the EC tells MS to take their source code and shove it! Nobody implementing a compatible product should even think about considering taking a look in the direction of the building where the directions to the code are housed, unless they want MS down their throats for IP "theft"... SCO vs *nix, anyone?

MS should be told to stop mucking about and deliver exactly what was demanded in the first place - the protocol documentation.
