Microsoft porting Bing to the iPhone

And in other news, Lamborghini is now making seat covers for the Ferrari F50

port

Edit: OIC, they are releasing a library that returns Bing search results to your app.

How exactly do you "port" a website? It's not like you're translating code to a different platform. All you need to do is tweak your CSS a little to have it display nicely on a smaller screen.

Bing isn't just a search engine on the web. Bing for Mobile is an app for Windows Media systems -- and now also iPhone -- that includes a whole lot of pretty useful tools, like voice search for places (movies, restaurants, etc, etc) at your location, a navigation/mapping tool with turn-by-turn navigation (and niftier than Google Maps), weather, live traffic reports (incl by voice), stock info and other coolish applets. It's currently supported in major markets like USA, UK, Germany and Italy, but you can use the tracking/GPS tool in SA (a la Google Maps).

Bing is more than a website, mate.
