Microsoft Surface 32GB RT

I have a Surface RT 32GB. And I love it. It works very well. Connecting and playing media from my existing PC's is a breeze. Office is handy... I am so glad I held out for it. And contrary to popular believe there are some decent apps for it. (A lot a crap too, but hey, don’t they all). The USB port and micro-SD slot is a big plus too.

There are still some minor tweaks they need to sort, but it will come.

Can you pop a 3G dongle in that USB port?

I believe you can, though I have not done it myself, there is a Vodafone app (http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/e...roadband/69d48b45-408e-46dd-9a82-d209834b29ec) with a list of all the supported devices (it's quite long).

I just tether it to my WP.

@BravoDrie. Did yours come with the touch cover?

Yes, I got the touch cover, you need to get used to it though, because unlike a normal "clickaly click" keyboard its is touch based, so there is no feedback. However there are click sounds being made by PC speaker, that helps alot. It also has a touchpad builtin, so when sitting down at your desk to do some Excel/Desktop work, it is awesome for more presice work.

I am now very used to it, so my laptop stays at the office 24/7 for work, and I use my RT when traveling.

When my laptop packs up one day, I'll get the Pro with a Type Cover.

You think Windows RT has less of a learning curve than iOS?

Quite possibly.
But the USB port allows easy transfer of movies from flash and other drives.

Just got the 32GB RT.
Setting up right now.
Lovely build quality.
... ah, settings, desktop and contacts all sync'd from cloud.
Now doing firmware updates.

Watching the cricket T20 tonight is gonna be hard.

Arthur could you get yours to connect to your MS account? Mine is having issues of some sort but Win8 pc and laptop are connecting properly.
Any help would be appreciated

Edit: Seems MS was having some intermittent issues. Also found out on a 2.4Ghz wifi network, channel 12 isn't found but other then that, awesome little tab
