Microsoft updates Internet Explorer

What's new?

Microsoft says that "the product should not yet be used in mission-critical environments".

That is/was true for every version of IE, and for any Microsoft software product ever launched. At last they are telling the truth...

with the exception of windows 2000 which i think is the most stable microsoft product ever released. and then they took a few steps backwards with xp by trying to make it too pretty

Windows 2000

I agree. If you must have windoze, 2000 is the one to have. There are some very good games that you can play on it. For everything else, there is Linux.

A slight problem with 2000 is that M$ wants to discontinue support on it. They want everybody on XP.

I dont think its that good or that intuitive at all, actually I'm finding browsing with it slower than using firefox (or IE6 for that matter).

Baaaaah. I downloaded the new version just to see how close they come to my beloved opera.

Glad to say that IE still sux. Just recently got the new opera 9 preview and i'm happy as a pig in ****.

Their version of tabbed browsing sux cause it's aimed at the mainstream mouse only approach. Take me for example. i browse with my mouse but in opera i use "1" and "2" to switch tabs. makes browsing and mining a lot faster an easier.

Also new feature of opera 9 is that if you hold ure mouse over a tabbed window it will actually show u a little image of that window...the usefullness is debatable but it sure is neat.
Also has a new widget feature....nice gimmick.....but that's bout it.

If your interested in the best browser go here.
