Well from a users perspective I can currently do just about everything that Vista offers. I'm talking about the stuff that I can actually do something with, not the "window dressing" (pardon the punn) stuff like new look UI or colour scheme.
The so-called security features I have (anti spyware, virus protection, firewall), the Movie writer/editor I have in Nero and various other software packages which I'm sure offers me much more than Vista will. Who uses Outlook express anyway
Thunderbird comes to mind (available for free and works well), and if you have MS Office - Outlook (whatever version) is way better than Express. All the other so-called "features" are not really anything new to the market, and is avaible from 3rd party vendors.
Now you might say that with Vista you get all those "extra features" for free. My question then is; do you really? Paying R 2000.00 for the premium UPGRADE does not sound like free to me, not if you already have a perfectly good working OS installed, and if you want the "extras" get them from people who specialise in it, it normally works better anyway.
Nope, I wont be giving old Billy more of my money, not untill I'm forced to do so by the conspiring hardware and software manufacturers who will inevitably at some point only support Vista and no earlier version. Heck I only baught XP a year ago, because software I need only ran on XP, why on earth will I now go upgrade again
