I cannot understand how that controller can be something people like?

What is the story behind it?

PS controllers seems so much more comfortable and logical.

I had an Xbox 360 now using ps4 since launch because it had better performance but I actually like the xbox controller more...I find it more open than the cramped ps4 controller.

Im probably going to buy the new Xbox 4k since im assuming performance will match or beat the ps4 pro and mainly because Sony doesn't want to let the ps4 do native x265 decoding.
 
Interestingly yesterday I found out the Xbox One controller takes normal AA batteries which is awesome.

Even the old 360 controller took AA batteries.

Also, battery life is easily over a week on the Xbox one controller (averaging about 5 hours per day), vs 5-7 hours of the PS4 controller...

I have a PS4 and xbone, totally prefer the xbone controller 100%.

Have both, and the Xbox controller is way more comfortable and easier to use. And as mentioned, battery life is much better.
