I have a problem with Word 2003. Every time I want to type a comma, it types a full stop and the next letter is a capital, like it normally does when you type a full stop. Then when I delete the full stop and type a comma again, it remains that way.

This is only in MS Word. Notepad and Wordpad works fine.

To restore your AutoCorrect settings to their defaults:

With Word closed, rename the .acl file.

Using Windows XP and Office 2003, I located the .acl file in this directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\UserAccount\Application Data\Microsoft\Office

My file was named: MSO1033.acl and I renamed it: MSO1033.acl.old
Word recreated the MSO1033.acl file when the AutoCorrect Options was selected.

Also, it might be a macro virus: find your Normal.dot file and rename it to Normal.old and reopen Word, which will then create a new default Normal.dot file.
