What about 2x gtx 960s?
Total would be R6400 for a pair of asus gtx 960s.
Is the R9 280X powercolor not better than the GTX960?
Not concerned about power-saving.
The R9 280X is better than the R280 I thought...Get a 3gb an upwards card. 2gb is now bare minimum for the latest games. There's the MSI R280 that's going between R3k-4k at Takealot and Evetech.

EDIT:
Question on shipping for wootware (Am in Cape Town, want to ship to panorama area)
Which courier?
Dawn Wing L Overnight (Insured) R39.00
Fastway L - Overnight (Insured) R69.00
FedEx M 2 - 3 Business Days (Insured) R115.00
EDIT2:
One of my monitors is VGA only, but there is no VGA port on the R9 280X
Would I need to get an adaptor? Only one I can find online that is direct, which should not have a loss on quality according to Yahoo and Tomshardware.Wootware said:Display Support:
VGA Output: Yes, By DVI to VGA converter
DVI Output: DL-DVI-I
If there is no loss on quality, has anyone used titan-ice.co.za or know where to get an adaptor within Cape Town (Bayside, Century City or stores within CBD are fine). Would prefer getting it physically over ordering it.
EDIT3: Seems above option is DVI-A to VGA, does it fit?
EDIT4: Seems DVI-A fits on DVI-A, so i can use it to adapt DVI-I to VGA.
The other options would be HDMI to VGA adaptor from wootware at the same time, which I would prefer to get if there is no loss in quality.
Thanks for all the input so far.
