Never heard of them before now, just googled and that is quite a sexy looking 250. Very Ducati like, imo it looks even better than the Ninja 250R.

well that is exactly what I am comparing it to, I want the ninja 250R (well actually the new 300 but that is out of the question) and I came across the Megelli, by far a better looking bike.
but my common sense is telling me I should listen to the you get what you pay for motto.

It looks decent and is probably not a bad buy esp for the price
They brought in by puzey iirc
But in 2009 i bought a scooter that was brought in puzey. They stopped selling that model in 2010 I think...
Now I cant really get the bike specific parts and spares that I need. I would guess that about 80% of the mechanical parts are pretty generic. The main part I cant get is the Air filter. A few others like brake lever and one or 2 body panels that got damaged after a drop.
While it was cheap and the scoot hasnt really given me any problems, I dont think ill buy another one unless it has support from a major company that will ensure parts/service/etc long after it was bought...

personally i would say stay away from it. Only reason is i trust the japs with their bikes. not that the other manufacturers are bad but like above poster said, you don't know what the spares situation is like now for it, or what it will be like in say 5 years.
Jap bikes sometimes you can even use parts from other bikes if you cant find the ones for your bike(not saying you can't with others). Also you know the quality you get with the jap bikes, What is the quality like on this bike, does it break down faster?
Other than that, if you have the money and you really don't care about what it will cost then i'd say go for it if it suits your needs. Would still rather get a good jap bike
