I'm currently with WebAfrica, using Openserve 40/20 as my provider. It's fine but I'm on the so-called "uncapped" option which means the FUP kicks in and throttles me to hell and gone. Octotel has just come to my area and they offer 100/25 for only 60 bucks more, so it's kinda a no-brainer.

What would be involved in switching ISPs? Presumably after the OCtotel line install is done, I need to return the current Openserve ONT and router to WebAfrica, and get a new Octotel ONT/router from them - is that it?

Should be as long as you are not locked into any contract or cancellation clause.

Why do you want to change your line provider when the ISP offering is clearly the issue? Just cancel your ISP but keep the line there and use another ISP.

Why not look at Crystal Web or Vox first before changing access networks.

As A-aron said, it depends on the agreement you signed or approved.
