Vodacom has screwed up my account by erroneously migrating me from Smart L to Smart L+

They can't migrate backwards (according to them), because Smart L no longer exists. I'm sitting with a contract with 600 minutes that I'll never use (and I'm paying for). I've gone to Hellopeter and no one can help apparently :/

If I migrate to a different contract, would I lose those minutes ?

If I go the Smart More Data 6GB, do I Lose any minutes accumulated ?

I have 552 minutes that I don't want to lose, but I need data.

Yes, you will lose it.

surely you should make this their problem

they must put you in the position you were in before

Done my best.

I'm not who else to complain to *sigh*

So, Hellopeter customer care can't do much, it seems :/

However, I went to Vodacom Facebook and they assisted. The also couldn't migrate me back to what I had, but they migrated me to the smaller Smart M+ and waived the fee due to going to a smaller contract

. I still lose my minutes, but at least I'm not paying monthly for something I don't need.

Thanks Vodacom for the assistance !

Was paying R529.00 for 250 minutes & 500MB
Now paying R469.00 for 400 minutes & 750MB

I obviously top up the data though

This is a waste that you didn't take advantage of their mistake to cancel the contract without penalty.

Telkom FreeMe 1GB is for you R99p/m.

If 250 minutes was right for your usage, it is worth extra R172.50 (@R0.69p/m), for total R272.50 maximum. It is less due to the free calls to Telkom mobile and landlines and if you use less, you pay less, obviously. Not too mention other freebees on FreeMe.

If you chose FreeMe 2GB R149p/m, you have LIT_music included.

How would have they have worked handset charge had I done that? Charge the remainder of 12 x R315 as my penalty?
