Hi all,

would really appreciate some help. I'm trying to configure my Huawei E3276 to work on my RB951. I have managed to get it working on 2 occasions, yet as soon as i reboot the RB, under systems-ports the usb1 appears red. In the logs the error massage is "Could not acquire serial port".

I know that pptp client setup is fine as i managed to get it working twice, what could the issue be that is causing this?

Any help is hugely appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Does that mean i wont be able to get it to work?

We didn't manage to make support for it, it is very specific, maybe in RouterOS v7 only

I haven't tried this myself yet. I'm not sure what proposed solution is, maybe switch the E3276 out of NDIS (network) mode into RAS (modem) mode?

Thanks, will give it a go. The problem is that it works intermittantly, sometimes it will work perfectly and then as soon as i reboot the RB it shows up red in system-port. Really strange....

Power problems? Try plug modem to self-powered USB hub with 2A power supply.
