Ho do I find a MAC adresse on RouterOS.

My Connection:

Mikrotik > TP Switch 16 Gigabit Switch > CCTV

I need to find my IP for my CCTV system through locating it from the Mac address.

I'm still new with mikrotik os

All help will be appreciated

Kind Regards

Log intonRouterOS, click IP 》 DHCP Server then select Leases.
It will show all devices on your network that the Mikrotik has given a dhcp lease to. You should be able to identify your IP camera from there

Edit: watch this guys videos to get you started and somewhat comfortable in the daily operations of your mikrotik... worst thing would be to lock yourself out by changing a setting

Double click the lease or right click it then click 'make static'

Did you setup the Mikrotik yourself or someone else did? Take a look at those videos hey, they really really help and are all short enough. Especially the ones about setting up firewall rules, setting up queues and also making / setting up proper user and access rights as well as making backups of your configuration

Thanks, I'll have a look at those, I bought the router to play around with it, Its very powerful, I configured the router with basic knowledge, (I have it now for a week).

Thanks so much for your help, Really appreciate it.

I'm going to set up a air link Dish soon, All I have to do is configure the PPPOE settings to acces my friends tower? With provided login details

Yeah they are very powerful devices. I used those videos when i started and it really helped me hence the prompts - they are some of the best resources on Mikrotik

Goodluck with the discovery - there is also a dedicated Mikrotik thread with far more experienced people than I so feel free to ask questions there as awell
